Somewhere Scenic in Ireland For a Very Short Stay

    Hey Folks,

My girlfriends brother and his wife are coming over from Poland for a few days from Wednesday 14th to Tuesday 20th. There are several things we have planned to do with them while in Dublin, but I was thinking we could rent a car and head away for the day or at most stay away overnight.

My missus is keen on the idea of heading down to Kerry and take in the scenery. How feasible is this do you think? Is it likely to be busy down there over the St Patricks Weekend, will accomodation be hard to come by?
She also likes the idea of going to Belfast for a day.

We'd be most interested in taking in the scenery rather than just going to another city, bars and restaurants aren't too much of a draw.

Does anyone have any suggestions where we might be able to head for a day or at most two. Somewhere scenic.

Definately head south - you could easily fill in a couple of days with the Ring of Kerry and then perhaps Co. Clare to see the cliffs.

You could perhaps rent a house to share rather than a hotel since I imagine they'd be well booked out by now, or very expensive. I've used Dream Ireland before in Co. Clare and we rented an amazing house in Doolin - would be great craic for Paddy's weekend, since there are loads of cool pubs playing trad music. The scenery around there is fabulous.

Have a great weekend whatever you decide to do.
