Lets be fair here the winner aint great and dont think he be winning in this company anytime soon again!!!

the race was set up for him by detroit city he took on azain maze to soon after his fcuk up early on which causes ruby to panic on inca and come the finish it was inevetiable that something was going to come out of the held up chasing pack to take it off the leaders!!!

Don't agree here. That was only Sublimity's fifth run over hurdles and if anything, he'll improve. He has the beating again of everything behind him in today's race. I think Macs Joy is the only horse who would have given him more to do.

    lmfao

no the winner is crap and it was all sabotaged! are u idiotic? sublimity is clearly a class horse or it wouldnt have one. i expect it will win in this company again, wat impressed me the most is the that the horse had a fair amount left in the tank and was jogging behind the two leaders before the last. well done to the jockey perfect ride...

Sublimity is lightly raced and really could be anything. Fairt play to connections, they shouted about him last year and he ran well and they shouted again this year to everyone that would listen.

hardy eustace and brave inca where all out i think afouson running them to a Nk proved tha!! thye key to the race was detroit he made ruby and and hardy cut each others throat i personally gaurentee this horse will not win the irish version at punchestown!!!

are you insane, Detroit City was off the bridle after the first hurdle, he had no impact on the race. the winner hacked up, he had about a stone in hand, he was swinging away at the bottom of the hill. your talking utter tripe

DC was never going to win this race. The winner won very well, and very comfortably it has to be said. Brave Inca ran gamely in second. It was clear from the start that there was something a miss with DC.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 640 ✭✭✭MickL

you missin the point Detroit city been off the bridlle so early was the key to this race!!!

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 7,230 ✭✭✭scojones

Considering DC was never going to win this race I fail to see how him being off the bridle at the start as the key to the race. Hardy and Brave Inca were always going to be battling it out regardless of what happened to DC.

Never mind certain people waffling on about detroit. They're just embarassed because they've been talking him up and flatly refusing to put up with any criticism of him for months. Now that this person's;) eyes have been opened he/she person is trying to limit embarrassment!!

Not going to mention any names cause i like my account nice and active

so if dc didn come off the bridle so early would BI and HE been got at each other after the 5th???

Conor was never going to let DC lead.

and thats what happen watch the replay Dc tried to take up the lead conor wouldn let him ruby tried t take on conor for the lead thus leadin to them both killin each others chance and been flat out with 2 t jump!! they made the winner look better than he is the 3rd horse proved that!!!!

and IMO this flattered the winner and i think he be doing well to win again in this company

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 7,230 ✭✭✭scojones

That's fair enough MickL, but I think it's a bold statement to say Sublimity won't be winning in this company again. That's not giving it the credit it deserves.

its my honest opinion its not been harsh upon him but this crop of hurdlers are above standard Brave Inca and Hardy Eustace have five Festival wins between them if he repaets the performance and wins again at punchestown ill glady come on here find this thread and congratulate him and admit im wrong but my opinion i cant see myself doing that!!!

Nah only buzzin, not u.. forget it was a joke anyway.. I had Inca so can't say a whole lot.

DC was poor today, emptied before HE and BI, who had a battle royale. If anything I have gained even more respect for BI.

i'm a DC supporter and hopefully this was a off day & should come back.

Sublimity is a one off, i doubt v much he will trouble BI HE and DC again (if he runs like to what hes capable of)

ppl jump on new winners like the second coming, if a horse steps up once and wins a big race lets see him beat the top trio again(or even get into the mix). Gr8 horses do it yr after yr and have consistant form.
Sublimity is absolutely not one of the greats.
Opening day has been horrible, 50-1 AND a 40-1 winner beating fancied runners, only MWDS putting his best foot forward.

    You're absolutely wrong.
