The Irish Open final table was live last year on Sky Sports so I presume the same will occur this year.

A mate of mine who qualified online for the Irish Open reckons the Final Table will be television but i have seen no mention of this on the PPP site or here on Boards, so im presuming he has got his wires crossed????

i know for a fact that at least the final table is being televised, but i think it may even be the last 4 tables, with a feature table every day although im not as sure about that.

As far as I know it's only the final table of 6.

...and it will be shown live on Sky Sports/RTE

They would be crazy to show this final live as last year.

It was probably the WORST AD for poker ever seen on TV. Besides the standard being questionable to say the least, in all honesty it would have been more exciting watching paint dry.

They should do what most TV stations do, record, edit & show later.

I have to disagree, I enjoyed watching it live - being able to bet in running, and not seeing what they do in other situations besides playing AK, AA or KK, that's boring to me.

I thought it was great watching it live last year apart from the fact it was 6 nobodies and that includes Ian Woodley.

It would be nice to see a household name make the final table this year.

    I think Moneymaker's due one ;);)

Hopefully they'll have more than 1 deck of cards when it gets shorthanded, last year it seemed to be 120 seconds of shuffling/dealing followed by 10 seconds of folding to the big blind followed by 120 seconds of shuffling/dealing etc etc.

The denominations of chips in play didnt help either, I know big towering stacks of chips look impressive for the TV cameras, but it can't be right when you need a wheelbarrow to put out the blinds.

Ugh, don't remind me about last years final table. I will never get those wasted hours of my life back!
