i pressume a lot of people change their start pickupss

i for one have a jeff beck junior at my bridge
now overall i'm not happy with my other two defalt single coil seymour duncan pickups as the have a very dry, high attack, plucky kind of sound (excuse the terminology)

basically i'm going to put a hot rails in the bridge... and move the jeff beck jr to the middle... as that will give me more of the sound i want "down there"

BUT i don't know what to go for as a neck pickup.... bassically i want some thing warm... but not as dominant as the other 2 pickups as i'll rarely rarely use it on it's own....
it doesnt' have to be a seymour duncan... i want something cheap.. of good enough quality that fits a single coil size..... and if possible is black in colour :)

    does anyone have any reccomendations???

Did your Seymour Duncans come as standard on your USA strat?

i have hotrails in my peavey, and i love them. so versatile.

you could easily get away with another hotrail for your neck, i have all hotrails and i can get a pretty warm tone out them when i want. you probably would want to install a pushpull or switch to give you the option of switching from series/parallel (i think it's parallel that gives a mellower tone but can't remember, havn't looked at a circuit diagram since i put them a few years ago lol). plus you still have the option of going for a harder sound out of it if you want (i like to have the neck and bridge on at the same time, requires more switching though)

I used to have a bridge hotrail on my old charvel tele and really liked it. However it was a lot hotter then the stock pickups and evetually I switch the neck to something hotter to better balance between them. I can't remember what it was.
