    so you have a box say E11 with the pre vat price of say €10.00 and you want to put that post vat price in say box A55

    so you

    =( E11*1.21) and write that in box A55 or wherever you want to display total amount

    Like net price/1.21*.21

    IE
    +b1/1.21*.21

    Where b1 is the net price

    you mean = instead of +, right?

    For any formula you must insert an = at the begining. It is then a matter of selecting the correct cells.

    * = multiply
    / = divide
    - = minus

    =A1*A2

    For longer and more complex formulas you may need to insert brackets that allow excel to tally what is inside the brackets first - just like a scientific calculator.

    = (A1*A2) / (B1*B2)
