Cancelling a prsa

Do I have to go to the same pushy representative in AIB to do this? I just copped that it is still going out of my Irish current a/c,I forgot to cancel it. I presume that I will have to write to them and ask (a) the bank to cancel the direct debit and (b) write separately to their prsa section to have the prsa stopped. I…

I don't expect to be back in Ireland in the next 12 months so this will have to be in writing or by phonecall.
Will a registered letter to both do the trick do you think?

Would you recommend that I just reduce the prsa to say a tenner a month or something and stop the index linking on it and start it up proper again if I return home for good?

My current plans would be to stay where I am for the time being.
