I'm looking for a website that you can input your route and you can get some details, like distances and stuff, from that.

I've been told that WAYN has it but can't seem to figure it out. and i don't really like that site.

anyways a site you can map your travel on, thats what I'm looking for.

    all helpful comment appreciated.

Google earth has a ruler tool that allows you to calculate distance, it allows you to lay down multiple points so your not restricted to a straight line.

It all depends what part of the world your looking for details on, western Europe and north America are fairly well covered but the rest of the world has little information.

ya i tried to integrate my trip into google map but as you say most of the world is not properly mapped.
I'm just finishing South America and would like to track my trip to see how much mileage I did.

www.ballofdirt.com - its brilliant! You can put in diary entries for each location and it will calculate the route on a map and the distances between each stop, as well as the total distance!

    For example:
