Thought this might be of interest to posters here. The Irish Skeptics Society are hosting the European Council of Skeptical Organisations (ECSO) Congress in September this year. We're busy putting the line-up of speakers together and are making good headway. As you will see (and of interest to this forum) we've nabbed amongst others, Prof. Vic Stenger, whose latest book "God:The failed Hypothesis" is currently on the New York Times Best Seller's list. We also have The Guardian's 'Bad Science' Columnist Ben Goldacre and you may also be interested in hearing Professor Massimo Pigliucci, one of America's most outspoken critics of creationism (google him).

The theme of the Dublin congress will be "The Assault on Science: Constructing a Response". The Congress will take place from Friday September 7th to Sunday September 9th inclusive.

    Go here for details.

I'd like to go to this, can anyone go...? Do you need to be a member of ISS or ECSO (just became a member with ISS there anyway). How much roughly does it cost..?
