    Hi all,

I am currently doing an essay on the introduction and changes that came about due to the introduction of the criminal assets bureau act 1996, I have been looking through balli and I have seen appeal cases but I am looking for some more specific cases than actual appeals.

does any one know off hand any cases - available to me like this.

    thanks

The vast majority of written and reported judgments are from courts of appeal. This is because the reports are useful for the points of law in them, not for the proceedure etc, and the points of law are usually only fleshed out in the appellate courts.

If you have an Irish Times subscription, try searching there. The newspapers usually take more of an interest in the story behind the cases (e.g. millionarie drug dealer's mansion seized etc). If you want statistics, try contacting CAB themselves, or CSO.
