    hiya,

    At the moment, if I try to rip a CD using Media Player, I get an error message stating that the tracks can't be copied. If i then go to the appropriate web help, I get the following message:

    This error might have been triggered by an error in another program or component of Windows. The following information describes the original error:
    C00D0FB0
    Windows Media Player cannot rip tracks from the CD correctly because the CD drive settings in Device Manager do not match the CD drive settings in the Player.

    I have never had this problem before and i have tried several cds but getthe same message. Also, I tried to rip using i-tunes and that worked fine.

    Any help would be much appreciated.

    The solution in Microsoft's page;
    C00D0FB0: Audio CDs will not rip correctly
    Settings for the CD drive conflict. The setting for the CD drive in Windows Media Player is set to analog copying (ripping). The setting for the CD drive in Device Manager is set to digital CD audio. To use analog copying, both settings must be set to use analog or no audio is copied.

    To change the CD drive setting to analog in Device Manager

    1. Open Device Manager, right-click the CD drive, and then click Properties.
    2. Click the Properties tab.
    3. Clear the Enable digital CD audio for the CD-ROM device check box.

    Are you using WMP10 or 11 as that error seems to be related to WMP10, never had a problem like that myself when I ripped the occasional CD using WMP10 either though.

    Thanks for that - I should have checked there in the first place :)
