I'm seeing big ping times to boards.ie, starting at the INEX. Don't know if it's related to the bursts of slowness.

Something else I'm seeing, which I've very occasionally seen when a page takes a long time to load: instead of displaying the page, I get a dialog prompting me to download showthread.php (or whatever page was going to be displayed). Generally cancelling the dialog and refreshing brings the page up normally.
