Although I strongly disagree with the situation where more and more private operators are running significant services without any integration to the main network that is 100% the fault of the government for not implementing proper policies. Despite that any improvement in our public transport services is a good thing and I hope this investement from Mortons is successful. The failure of a number of operators who have tried to provide a comprehensive service in the past proves it is a risky venture.

Mortons are an operator with a generally excellent reputation and have provided a spotless fleet of modern buses and a reliable service in Dublin for some years.

This means that Celbridge is unique in having 3 different operators running regular scheduled bus services to the city centre.

that's why DTA should operate a neutral ticket structure which any operator - state or private - can "plug into" if they meet basic requirements. You could see small operators like Morton's integrating as fast if not faster than DB et al.
