I have tried to use the copy facility on Sky+ but it has never worked for me. I get as far as the part where is checking and then just reverts to the planner. I have had to play out the programme in real time onto a tape!

Is there a way to transfer the file to your laptop? or burn it to a disc?

I could be wrong but AFAIK the only way is to play the programme from your planner and tune your DVD or video to whatever input you use for Sky and press record. The copy function in the planner allows you to group multiple recordings together so that they will be recorded in sequence. I only tried it for the first time the other day...

    Hi,

I use the copy function to copy multiple programs from to my DVD recorder, and it works really well:) . The reason I do this is so that I can watch my favourite programs while away from home as I travel away each week and I don;t have access to the same channels while away.

It does run in real time so I usually do the copy during the night:cool:
