If you want a standard service go to Advance Tyres - Kilcullen Rd. Naas & Naas Road Dublin 12 (opp. Luas Stop at Kylemore rd. junction) - They have a fixed price service at about €149.

I have 06 Focus and get main dealer service for 100 (the small service with just oil and filter) and of course the important stamp on the book!

IMHO they are not up to scratch, I used them numerous times as they are conveneint for the Luas etc. but wouldn't again.

    1. They replaced the tyres on my car (at my request). When I later had to bring the car to a tyre shop they told me the choice of tyre was totally inappropriate for my car. BVTW tyres+timing belt+service was e600! When I told them I was entitled to a 10% discount as an Intel employee I was told he'd already done me a favour on the price and refused to give me the discount - total crap.

    2. They tried to replace a backbox on my last car even tho it was only in use 5000 miles.

    3. They refused to take my car in to replace a bushing when I needed it at short notice for an NCT retest - I then brought the car across the road and a lad behind the Frank Fahey centre did it for me on the spot (3 more garages in there BTW).

If you want something done right do it yourself learn to service your own car basic service of course. A lot of garages have apprentices doing basic services they haven't a clue. The last time I took my car to a garage for a service some young fellow changed the oil and filter he never tightened the filter properly, I checked the oil level the following morning only to find that most of it had leaked out.
