    Hi,

I don't know whether this is the right place for this, just came across it so thought it best..

Anyhoo.. My dad had a stroke November '05 which left him paralysed from the shoulder down on his left side. He's recovered really well, walking again no bother. But there's still no power in his left arm.. He was doing loads of physio while he was in hospital and after but he's kinda given up on it I think.. Taking a break anyway. Naturally it's quite frustating being 'one-armed', is there anything that can be done?

He did plenty of exercises but the strength just didn't build back up. He's thought about an artificial arm, especially after the Young Scientist where one of the winners was a group who made an artificial arm. I knew the guys involved so introduced my dad to them and he was really interested.

    Thanks.

Yeah, it has been suggested before. I don't know if it's what he wants. Is there a more natural way to restore the strength and muscle?
