Tech support from employers point of view..

    Does 'tech support' stand to you from an employers point of view after you have your degree finished,what do people think? as in is it valuable work experience..

    But tech support is a huge area so elaborate.

    Yes, but you must have at least 6 months of it, otherwise many employers don't see it as experience.

    Really depends on your degree also. If you just finished your degree and went straight to a tech support job that cool if you could not get another job. You must aim higher at first though. Only if all else fails take the customer support role. I started in tech support and now work in a NOC so its a very valid starting point.

    lol NOC. Our NOC jsut has a lsit of ppl to contact in case a server goes down. IF a server does go down, they call the person in charge of that server, and that person fixes it! you doin NOC in that same old place? ;)

    NOC - Network Operations Centre

    I work for Ericsson currently. They are hiring some students now for work placement. Mostly in business area. Whats the summer job in Athlone? Software development/testing work?
