I'm a new OS X user so this might be very easy for some!

i just bought a new digital camera, and the first time I connected it to my computer iPhoto launched and asked me if I wanted to use it as the default program to download images. I've since installed some other software to do this for me, but I can't find any option in iPhoto preferences (or anywhere else for that matter) that would allow me to select a different default application.

    hope somebody can help!

    Cheers

Open up "Image Capture" in your Applications folder and open the preferences window. You can change the application from the "General" tab.
