Broken Single Shot??

decided to take my mp5 apart today to see if i could figure this out, but it looks like what i need is inside the gearbox, havent opened the gearbox yet though, mainly for fear ill mess it up.

anyway, when my mp5 (cyma cm027) is in single shot mode, it still fires full auto, this can be rather annoying, anyone here with more experience taking airsoft guns apart have any clue as to what could be causing this or how to fix it? anyone have it happen to them and get it fixed?

    cheers

It could be as simple as the fire selector switch not engaging properly? I've seen that happening before

    Hey kdouglas,

It sounds like your selector plate was misaligned when you re-installed it. Re-check it again, and see if there are any changes. :)

    Hauk

Dex: it seems to be engaging fine...

Hauk: the selector stopped working before i opened it up, infact i dont think it ever worked properly

just in the middle of opening the gearbox now... have the screws out, but not sure how to proceed, it seems fairly tightly together

Edit: easy enough to pry open, once you actually remove all the screws! i missed one :D thankfully i was being careful, so no damage done

hmmm.. does anyone know how the single shot action is controlled? like what stops the gearbox/motor after a single shot, i cant seem to see anything in the gearbox which will stop the motor after a single shot?

Edit: looks like there is a small lever which is pushed slightly when the gear turns on single shot mode, cant figure out what this is supposed to do because it's not actually doing anything right now, ill try figure more out tomorrow, heading out now... (hopefully no screws will disappear from my desk overnight)
