Bypass of Kilbeggan / Moate

    does any one know the timescale on this i heard kilbeggan will be bypassed by mid summer. any truth in this. anyone know when it will be passed moate, done to athlone

    Tyrellspass-Kilbeggen should be complete by summer, but won't fully bypass Kilbeggen for Galway motorists, as it ends at the N52 junction. Kilbeggen to Athlone is scheduled for completion in 2008.

    Supposedly was due to do so, according to last Sunday's Business Post. Nothing on either NRA or DOT about it though...

    There is a mention on Transport.ie Cullen officially opens N6 Tyrrellspass to Kilbeggan & N52 Mullingar to Belvedere national road projects
