Blackberry Pearl-Compatible with ready to go?

    If I buy a blackberry pearl locked to vodafone (uk) would it work with a ready to go sim card??

    If it did you would never be able to use becuase the rtg data charges are so high...

    You would first need to get it unlocked. Even once it's unlocked, it wouldn't be very useful without a BlackBerry "all you can eat" type plan such is available from O2 and Vodafone for about €20 monthly.

    It will work as a phone but not for push mail as Vodafone don't allow the blackberry.net APN on RTG numbers but you can still access pop mail through the web browser. GPRS charges on RTG would cost a fortune though, much cheaper to be on bill pay.
