the working men type of pub sells them, i know molloys (talbot st.), parnell mooney (parnell st.), sean o caseys (marlborough st), and the flowing tide (also marlborough street, sell them and on the subject of guinness and a bargain alert the talbot off licence (beside super valu in talbot st) sells 6 cans of draught for E9.99

    very, very few of them.
i didnt know the flowing tide sold them, thats good to know,
drink there from time to time.

the rest i wouldnt be a fan of,
i take it theres no nightclub out there that gives some space over to the stout bottle?

i've never found it hard to find pint bottles of guiness in town. Just as long as its a pub you're going to and not a pub/club. They usually aren't easy to see though as the tend to be shoved to a corner. As far as clubs & trendy bars go i'd put it down to pot luck. I can't imagine finding too many, if any, with pints but you never know you may strike it lucky.

I recently started to drink them, and I started a thread about them.

It's weird, only two of the pubs I'd consider locals of mine (of about five), in the Artane / Clontarf area have them. I was really surprised that Harry Byrne's on the Howth Road don't do them. The Goblet does though.

As for the city centre, I haven't actually looked for it in there, although I doubt if the pubs I was in this weekend would do them (Porterhouse Central and Porterhouse Temple Bar, their Chocolate Truffle Stout is gorgeous btw.).

do you know if the roundabout and the a1 sell them

    Sorry mate, I don't.

But, The Roundabout? Why TF would you want to even go there, even if they did sell them?

    Place is a shíthole tbh.

A1 isn't a bad place though, I'd say they'd have them in the Bar at least.

The Sheaf O' Wheat does them (the lounge opposite the eXtravision isn't bad during the week for a few quiet pints), and I think Kyle's aswell. By the way, Kyle's does a scrumptious pint of Guinness. (If you didn't know, both of these establishments are in Coolock Village)

indeed kyles does serve a good pint, as does gaffneys in fairview, the sheaf is a total dive, i was refused service 2 weeks ago because myself and 2 uncles went in after a funeral wearing the usual white shirt black tie combo, we hadnt booked was the barmans excuse.
you are also right about the roundabout, its a hole

    Jesus H that's bad.

I used to work there before Graingers bought it and stuck up that gaudy red sign, wtf?

When Guinness owned it, it was a grand place back then, Graingers ruined the place imo.

Have you heard The Goblet is to be knocked for apartments?

we were going to ring mark grainger but just went to the belcamp (newtown house) instead, great shop.
yeah heard about the goblet, its a pity its a good pub, i heard a rumour that the yacht is due a visit from the reaper too

Newtown House is a good place you say?

I've just moved up to Northern Cross - the apartments behind the Hilton, must give it a try. Have they the bottled Guinness there?

What about my other new local, Campions?

Goblet used to be a great shop, but the smoking ban killed it imo, that and the food upstairs.

yeah its a grand pub, clean and well lit, i dont know if they or campions sell them, the latter being a dump in my opinion. you arent far from kyles, thats a great pub.

i would say the belcamp sells them, ill check and get back to you in a few mins

    No problem mate :) Thanks.

I was down in Campions last night, they have them too.

And their pint of Guinness was creamy goodness aswell.

    Murphy's is only €3 a pint

    Didn't sample it though.

They have a sign up stating "No large groups without prior arrangement with management" - probably being so close to the graveyard they need this.

hmm,, i see youve all turned my thread into a chat about locals
was in the porterhouse on satruday and tried that chocolo stout, thought it was fairly vile.
still havent had a bottle of guinness in town :(
even noticed that a lot of the spars etc dont seem to stock it
