not sure if this is right forum or not, but security is the problem i'm having.
i have a 200 GB disk with NTFS.

the file tables have been corrupted now for ages, because of an interrupted CHKDSK.
i've usually corrected any issues using CACLS.EXE planning to backup everything at some point.

i was trying to edit the ACLS with cacls * /E /T /G Everyone:F to grant everyone full access, because there always seems to be problem with domain name.
after a few files, i get "The data is invalid" or something like that.

i wrote a tool that spawns a cmd prompt under the SYSTEM account, and try with CACLS.EXE, sometimes it works, sometimes not.
i'm fed up with it at this stage.

does anyone know of any good tools that can fix corrupted NTFS drives?
