GameCube problem-too bright on TV

    Hi,

just bought a 2nd hand gamecube. Have only the 1 game so far, MarioKart Double Dash. Tried playing it tonight but the ice and sand/water images on the TV are so bright, I'm not able to see the course.
I've changed the TV brightness/colour/contrast etc but to no avail. I've tried the game on both the 50 and 60 htz option.
Has anyone else ever had this problem? The TV is defo not the problem as it's in perfect working order for TV/DVD's and even an old PS1 that i have lying around.

i've seen this problem before - it was to do with the scart cable being used.
