What a load of nonsense. Whens the mens day...wheres the university course called 'mens studies' , or mens night in pubs. There's a long list of things that are sexist opposite to the normal meaning that are taken as perfectly ok thatd cause outrage the other way around. I want a straight, white, mans parade.

Just as I was leaving work I was joking with a colleague and reminded him that he should have bought someone flowers or some such to celebrate this day.

He stood up and said - I've no problem celebrating International Womens Day, we can have four of them a year and I'll celebrate all of them.. once they learn to sit in the corner and shut the fcuk up!

I had a whole set of stats types out (highlights : apparently less than 1% of the worlds privately held assets are owned by women, only 5 of the fortune 500 companies have a female ceo.......) but I'm starting to sound like my mother. I like my bra from AP and unburnt but if you prevent me from doing what I want in this life because I have ovaries I'll wear you down in every court in the land.

Actually, this is a pet peeve of mine.

Women, on the whole make less effort than guys and guys on the whole get a bit embarassed if they're outdone by women.

Most of the girls I know really expect lavish treats on Valentines but short of a trip to Victoria's Secret don't much bother themselves.

I've been calling it Golddigger's Day for years.

Sorry, but this Valentines = Women's day thing is nonsense.

I love Valentines Day, because it's the one day of the year when you can go mad and tell everyone you love them, which most people don't do enough. All that stupid materialistic crap is stupid, materialistic and, well, crap. Although I do go all warm and fuzzy when Tesco give me a free red carnation.
