I rang a company in the UK today regarding delivery to Ireland and he told me that they stopped shipping here because 99% of the deliverys of lcd's get damaged. I was planning on ordering a 32" lcd off a UK based company but now im worried. Any advice?

Contact the relevant company and ask them about their packaging process as well as returns for damaged good policies.

Not much else you can do really. I've no experience of ordering a TV online but have ordered computers in the past and had no problems.

Whats the company you are using or what shipping company will they be using.

All 4 LCD's (3 monitors, 1 TV) in my house were shipped from abroad and arrived in perfect condition.

Usually a big shipping company like DHL DPD etc will take care of your packages.
But again it also depends on how well the LCD is packaged.
