I'm trying to get into some new music or even old music that i might have missed out on. At the moment I am listening to the Delays two albums, The Beatles Love album, the Kooks album and a little of the Guillemots stuff. Any tips would be greatly appreciated.

    Try:
The Velvet Underground - The Velvet Underground
and The Velvet Underground and Nico.
Just listening to them now. Good Stuff.

Oh and try some Sigur Ros.
That's what I'm trying out now anyway.

Especially side 2 on top volume.

Hrududu, maybe check out the albums that we've had for albums of the week and see if any of the posts in those threads make you want to listen to them. Or go for a random purchase, that's always fun!

Last.fm is a great way of finding and listening to new music.

Based on some of the bands you listed.

The La's --- the real Kooks,

    Love - Forever Changes

Don't be afraid to try new music ...it can only hurt your bank balance.

Cheers for all the recommendations. I'll have a listen. I love buying something completely unknown. More times than not i'll end up with something i dont like, but then there is that other time i will end up with a gem. I do like Klaxons, might check out their album. Last fm has been a bit hit and miss for me though.
