I spent two nights in Copenhagen last Summer, (last stop of an inter-railing trip too actually), but tbh; I don't remember a whole bunch, apart from it being a beautiful city. Oh, and Christiania (sp?), the Anarchist village.

Em, day one we spent walking up the coast as far as The Little Mermaid (surprisingly small), which was deadly cuz you get to see a load of sights on the way; the royal palace, for example, is en route.

We were staying in a campsite just outside Copenhagen, and on the first night we just ended up hanging around the tent with a few bottles I think. The weather was ridiculously hot when we were over there, got burnt to bits.

Day two we went to Christiania, which you really should do. It's a self-governing town, with its own rules etc. There are a lot of stalls, places to drink etc and the atmosphere is just really wired (and weird too I guess) Some people say its 'sold out', more a tourist spectacle now than anything else; be warned, drugs are rife and we saw more rats than people while there ;) Still though, its great fun and a good experience.
We rented bikes that day too, which was actually worth it cuz we saw so much more. Incredibly cheap too.

Night 2 we went to a club in central Copenhagen, but I cant for the life of me remember what it was called.. good buzz though.. the Danes are great craic.

In general, a very very very EXPENSIVE city, so make sure you have a couple o euro under your belt. (2 somethin for a bottle of coke.. pfft)

And thats all I recall! Enjoy your trip

Oh, by the by, if you're coming from Germany, the train you get boards a FERRY, and you're allowed get out on deck etc; full bar, shop, restuarant.. just good craic when you're with your mates, and nothin like a Danish sea breeze to get you in the mood :D

there is a big DanHostel right in the middle of the city, beside the amusement park, Tivoli Gardens. stayed there last year for 5 days and it was pretty nice. normally packed out though, but clean modern and really nice i thought.

Copenhagen was a nice place, but very expensive for most things apart from smokes lol. Nightlife was pretty good, very like Dublin, bit with Scandanavians ( ;) )beer was very dear though, even local brands so watch that.
