cane-a-nites, hitt-ites, a-mor-ites, per-izz-ites, hiv-ites, jeb-use-ites, mid-i-an and jeth-row (like Jethro Tull the band). They still probably sound nothing like they were originally spoken but that's pretty much the way most people pronounce them today. If you get it wrong just don't mumble and people will assume you're using an alternate pronunciation anyway.
