Sorry if talking about Bitt*** is not legit here, but I use it to download DVD images such as Redhat (Fedora), as many of them are actually making their DVD based images available to bittorent network only.

Many game editors such as Mythic Entertainment are also making their game available to Bittorent network as well.

So I am sorry if we are not allowed to speak about it, I did not realize some people were using it for illegal download purpose.

    Thank you

talking about it is against the rules if the sites mentioned contain copyrighted material.

Usually companies that use the BitTorrent protocl to legitimately distribute their software run their own trackers, in the case of Fedora, for example, it's http://torrent.fedoraproject.org. No need to use dodgy trackers for this kind of thing at all.

EDIT: Just checked ... 650 seeds and 321 peers for the i386 dvd iso ... ought to be able to get a decent download speed going there!

depends on the copyright and attitude of copyright holder - GPL ;)

But yeah , public domain or stuff where the copyright owner allows copying are fine. But lots of general torrent sites aren't family friendly so not the Mae West for here.

<snip> is a good search engine, that only looks for non copyrighted material. It will find nothing illegal no matter how hard you look.
