Has anyone ever done community service?

    I'm posting this in PI as opposed to AH because I think it fits better here and I think people will be more willing to answer if they can do so unregistered.

    I was just wondering if anyone here has had to do community service before? I have recently been sentenced to 240 hours, and I was just curious as to what kind of things I will be asked to do. Also if I will be given a choice of possible things to do or just have to do what I'm told to and if I will have any say in the area in which I carry out the service. Thank you.

    I tried the SDCC and PWS websites and also googled for the answers but to no avail.

    Your suitability will be assessed. That architect that killed someone with dangerous driving did social housing work on day release.

    They aren't going to put (say) a petty thief in charge of a charity collection.
