Whats the reception like of UK DAB radio in the Dundalk area? Is indoor reception via a DAB set's own antenna possible, or would you need a loft or roof mounted aerial? If an aerial is needed I have a VHF Band III aerial used to receive RTE etc. from the Castlebar relay before it switched to UHF. This should be ok to receive DAB?

Some people (including myself) can no longer receive it due to the strength of the Clermont Cairn signal.

Heard that myself, the signal from Clermont Carn is introducing too much ACI to the Score and BBC multiplexes - and it is certainly not helped by the fact that using a directional aerial sees CC and Belfast point roughly the same direction. I don't know if Brougher Mountain could be any use, I doubt it.

Thanks for that fellas! I suppose its a practical demo of the heavy usage of available spectrum when you the radio and tv services of two durisdictions competing for the same space.

I was actually looking to get BBC Five Live and Five Sports Extra back because I lost them when the test broadcast on UHF channel 26 from the Three Rock Tx trashed the Divis MUX reception on my Freeview STB on that frequency. I suppose i'll have to stick with warbly MW reception from Lisnagarvey!
