Bands to look out for?

    Hi guys...

Ive been interested in oing to see some jazz and blues bands in Dublin for a while now but have come across a slight problem: i dont know what bands to look out for at various venues, nor do i really know the venues tbh. I know the sugar club plays J&B now and then, but looking at their site - how would you guess what band is what?

So anyway, the problem is a lack of information and where do you start?

Any suggestions of venues to keep an eye on, or band names to keep tabs on would be helpful. I hate to go to a venue and be disappointed because the band playing that night are actually an 80's pop gig and not a three piece.

    Cheers guys.

The "Bleu Note" in Capel St. has jazz and blues at weekends. I think they are working on a new web site so info is in short supply. If you are interested, I can PM you their phone number.
