How to get the BOI Amex

I want to apply for the "Blue American Express Credit Card" (tats the one with the 1% moneyback, now yes I kow alot of places don't accept amex but it still sounds good)
but I can't find an application form anywhere!

There is a page talking about the card on the BOI site at http://www.bankofireland.ie/html/gws/personal/credit_card/our_product/General_Content_1000179.html

and BOI have an online application thingy at
http://www.bankofireland.ie/html/gws/personal/credit_card/apply/index.html
but that only covers the "Advantage" range of Visa/MasterCards

Has anyone applied for this AmEx before, where did you get the application form?

Have you tried your local branch?

TBH "cashback" cards always seem a bit pointless to me. I'd go for the best rate rather than 1%

Yep and I tried a few others, they none had any paper relating to the card, they even asked around behind the counter and upstairs, in one branch today the customer services guy was genuinely interested because he had never heard about cashback he said to try BOI Card Services directly, I'll phone them tomorrow

I always pay before the due date so the interest rate doesn't matter

thanks dave, they said they don't have any paper app forms to hand at the moment, it looks like either BOI view the card as an expensive contractual obligation OR it is by invitation only and they want to let me down gently
