Sky Remote Not Working With TV

Hey, Sky remote seems to be refusing to work with my TV (it's a JVC) as in volume control etc. IT was working fine all along until the weekend, changed the batteries... Tried that code thing in the sky manual but no luck, all that happens is that the remote won't work for either the tv or the sky box until i take out the batteries and put them back in again...

Any ideas? It's a pain having 2 remotes around the place...

If the code for your tv doesn't work .....
You have to use the blink back method as per this page about halfway down.

Ive recently got a new sky plus remote which worked perfectly for a few days but just stopped working ,the red light no loger flashes ,it did,nt fall as I was using it when it stopped ,any suggestions please

Does the old remote still work. That would eliminate the box.

Had same trouble with our Sky+ remote. It liked to freeze up repeatedly and we kept having to either change the batteries or take them out and put them back in again. Sky were no help whatsoever even though we'd only had the box about a month. They kept saying they would replace the remote until eventually they told me to get one from Curry's. That one works just fine..........................

tv not working with remote, tried all the codes listed on various websites, any other ideas? the tv is a samsung plasma, about 3 years old.
