Sorry Ive no converter here. 10 + 1 dollar stt.

1st or 2nd hand of tournament. Blinds are 10/20. I have 1200. Villain has 1200.

3 folds. I am in MP with Jh Jd . I raise to 100. Button min raises to 200 which is scary. I call.

    Pot is now 430

    Flop is 4s 4h 6d

I check. Button goes all in.

    Actions on me.

If he was good he would not min raise with AA KK or QQ. He could easily have 77, 88, 99. 1010, AK, AJ, AQ. Id actually put him on that. If you are unlucky 66 or A4 suited. Call and hope he does not hit his outs on turn and river.

    1st or 2nd hand of a $10+1 Sit n Go.......

Any play can equal pretty much any two carads in my experience.

If its the 1st or second hand and you both have lost 800 chips already. Fair play to yaz.

Call. This can be any two over cards, 77+, A6, etc. In most STTs you have to take these chances. If you double early you can put that stack to good use and go on to make the money/win. If he has QQ+ or a 4, you have only lost a few minutes and can just sit in on the next one.

    Just my 2 cents

Wanted to hit fold because it did sniff like KK or AA to me. I called. He had aces which held up.

Comments on his play....Is min raising with aces good in general?? I personally never do it

He played it non - optimally. Thats all I'll say.

But didn't the villain end up with all of Lissavalley chips.... surely thats the point of this game?

I wonder what the 'optimal' play would be? and if in similar early stages of a tourney it would prove profitable?

oh, and I would have called like a hot snot..... and calmly congratulated the villian..... then stalked him!!

Personally i would have bet out after the flop (maybe just over half the pot) to see where u are. If he goes over the top of you it's easier to throw away.

Well few things prob wrong here but here is my thinking. First few hands jack jack is not a raising hand here for me. I prefer a limp he min raises and then you flat call looking for set value. Ok the flop is b e a utiful for your overpair but at this level i never like calling in this spot in the first few levels. Basically you can beat top pair all pairs except qq kk aa 66 and 44. Does he min raise with ace 6 or ace 4 yes possiably again down to the standard. However i really am not inclinded to throw all my money in here.
So he had aces he played them prettty poorly and you can catch him later. Small buy in sit n gos are about conservite play early on and more aggressive play later with a tigther image thats if anybody has the abilty to see your established image. I limp with my jj even qq early as hitting a set in these games is priceless.

I know its a conservite approach but simple matter is that these players will pay you off and make huge mistakes but i want a bigger hand than jj to play them. Also if you have a doubt in your mind a fold is ok!

Note to self: should of folded those kings.

lol at you finding a fold in this spot.
you me personally? or anyone?when i started off playing poker i as told to re-raise preflop, and then push any flop with AA... so thats why i see this as that.
