An ideal spot for a minraise

This is a hand I played the other night. I played it awfully I think. looking back at it, I think a minraise is the way I should have played it. Thoughts?

Holdem No Limit - $2 BB

BB ($56.19)
UTG ($204.50)
MP ($207.25) [Hero]
CO ($40)
Button ($116.25)
SB ($100)

Hero is MP with 8h, 7h
Preflop: (6 players, $3)
UTG calls $2, Hero calls $2, CO checks, Button calls $2, SB calls $1, BB checks

Flop: Th, 6h, 9h (6 players, $10)
SB bets $4, BB folds, UTG calls $4, Hero calls $4, CO folds, Button calls $4 and raises $32, SB folds, UTG calls $32

Nah man a minraise would look really whacky here.

Call and bet the turn like you're trying to draw cheap or something, about half pot.

I rpob raise the flop the first time around though because another heart will kill your action.

Why? The button has just raised one third of his stack and I doubt he'll fold to the reraise if he has a made flush or a set, thus his stack is committed. UTG similarly wont fold to the minraise if he has a high heart or an openended straight draw with a heart or the ace of hearts on its own.

Not necessarily.
Another heart may give him all the action he wants.
Yeah I like a min raise here as it will either get button to call in which case so will UTG or it will make button push which is good.

Also another good thing about is that it will bloat the pot so much that both UTG and button will have odds to carry on to the river should they miss their draws on the turn.
And if one of them is not drawing then you will here form them when they shove.

Thats some good advice Gholi. I agree with that.

You want as much money in on this flop as possible because the turn will kill a lot of action. I agree with Gholi here. While a min raise will make it clear you are strong, Ah is not going anywhere... the made flush is not going anywhere... and a set nearly has the odds to try and fill up. As long as they all think they are drawing to the nuts then they won't go anywhere at this stage.
