hey just on the off chance, would anybody know why exchange would be creating large volumes of transaction log files in the mdbdata folder?

We had a problem running a backup for a few days last week, which has since been rectified however since then exchange is creating vast amounts of log files everyday now, approx 7-8 GB in a 12 hour slot. The backup is getting rid of the log files at the moment however due to the shere volume being created daily I am having to run around 3-4 exchange backups a day just to stop exchange itself from stopping due to lack of disk space.

    so anyone any ideas?

No matter how much you are tempted don't turn on circular logging.

Can you move the transaction logs to another drive ?

Are mailbox/dB sizes increasing too ?

Could you turn off some queues to ID what is generating it ?

    Looping problems

    Has anything changed recently ?
