    Are there any events like this? I know some PC lans have a mini console one too but are there any specialists console gaming events with DS or Gamecube tournaments?

    Or 16 player Mario Kart DS? That'd rule. Could get a few N64s with Goldeneye etc. for a bit of nostalgia. So many multiplayer games that could work. Super Smash Bros., Diddy Kong Racing...

    16 player involves two people per kart, and swapping over, so not a lot of fun.

    8 player however is, and two player with a screen each too (especially for battle)

    No, that's 16 player Mario Kart Double Dash, not 16 player Mario Kart DS. Don't think you can have 16 player Mario Kart DS though... can you? Thought it's limited to 8 karts per race...?
