Is Big Brother Noel watching us?

OK this is a purely speculative thread on my part, but is it likely that the Department might monitor our discussions on the Digital Pilot to get a handle on how far the signal is travelling and under what conditions the signals are or are not being picked up?

Or are they completely ignoring us and just monitoring the lucky 500/1000?

They would have contractors who go around and measure the signal in different areas, i think.

The real trail was over 7 years ago.

I'd suspect Noel's dept has little interest in what the users think, never mind what we think.

At UHF, they don't need anyone to go around measuring signals (though they did a bit of that in 1999).

With good terrain data from OS of Ireland they can do it by SW. Or anyone fairly good by free SRTM data..

Which shows up how poor our existing analogue TV network is.
