I have a set of Extension tubes, exactly like this, Canon fit that I just cannot use - I cannot handle the extremely thin DOF and everything ends up blurred.

Anyway, if anyone thinks they can give them a better home than I could, let me know. In the meantime, I'll start saving for a proper macro lense...:D

Are you using a tripod?? Also a macro rail system link the one in the link is what you really need when working with such a thin DOF.

yeah, I tried using a tripod, but I hate the thin DoF. And $175 is probably better off being put towards a macro lens rather than for use with a 10 quid extension tube :D

    anyone...anyone...?

    Hi cambo_gueno,

I'd love to give those extension tubes a go if you don't want them!

Are you not able to stop down the aperture when there are no lens contacts in there? That sucks.

[goes away to hug her extension tubes and reassure them that she loves them...]

Look, I went past 1000 posts! And I've no idea what my 1000th was :(

    Latchiko,

PM me your details and I'll stick them in the post today. You do know that they are completely manual, don't you? i.e. you have no AF and the aperture is the widest your lens has.
