now 66/6, pollock out for 1, trent johnston got him and 2 others, langford-smith got the other 3, and big boyd rankin has started well, no wickets but only going for 4 an over. pity the stats from this game won't count as teams can use 13 players (though only 11 at a time).

not bad going alright but ireland batting worries me

Irelands batting has been brilliant all winter. The problems have been with the bowling. Today the bowling appears to have been awesome.

I just hope they approach the innings in a positive way and try to knock off the majority of the runs during the power plays.

Will there be highlights of the game on TV anywhere today?

i think our batting should be okay, need to get the last 3 wickets soon though, if hall stays in for much longer we could have a decent total to chase which with ntini bowling in some quick ones could be tricky. like these quotes from a south african website:
"Determined to live up to their new status as the world's top-ranked team, South Africa will be aiming to put World Cup debutants Ireland firmly in their place when the warm-up matches get under way on Monday" and
"Although Kemp and Gibbs could miss the match against Ireland in Trinidad, it would have done little to ease the daunting task that lies ahead for Ireland"
come on lads, lets finish them off!

Absolutely tremendous performance against the number one ranked team in the world. And they are fairly full strength I think. lets just hope we can knock over the last two wickets and then keep our heads with the bat.

south africa all out for 192, botha ended up with 2 wickets, johnston 4, langford-smith 3 and j mooney got the other one. ntini isn't bowling so that's a bonus, hopefully we'll take it slowly and sensibly and pick the runs off, only need 4 an over.

Not damage control or anything... I'm just wondering if this pitch isn't possibly a little bowler-friendly while the ball is still new.

I can't wait to see the final result of this game... I know it's only a warmup game, but an Irish victory would be good to give the game some exposure here.

    I'm an S.A. fan :D

    Hopefully they can rescue it.

That site states that it's a 13-a-side game. Will this be the format for the CWC itself, or is that just being used for the warm-up matches?

I see the Irish team appears to contain a trio called Johnston, Mooney and O'Brien.

    Toasty! :D
