Video senders with newish sky box ?

I have a set of Tiveon (sp) video senders that I got in Aldi a few years back. I have never had a problem with them until I tried to use them with the new type Sky Digibox. I am not sure what make of box it is but it is the fairly slim line one with the blue illuminated SKY logo in the middle.

The signal between the two TV’s is fine but I cannot seem to get the remote control to work on the 2nd TV

I attached the little node to the spot where the red light comes on when the remote control is used but when I try to use the remote control on the 2nd TV it just will not work.
I have changed the cord with the nodes on it that plugs in to the transmitter (don’t know what it is called) and with different remote controls but still no luck

Has anyone else had problems with this type of sky box?, is there any specific point you have to attach the node to get the remote to work ?

    Thanks

The part that blinks upon remote commands isn't the sensor. I haven't a "flow" box to hand so can't tell you where the sensor is at the moment.

Position of the sensor may vary also depending on the make. All three digibox manufacturers (Pace, Amstrad, Thomson) have identical Flow design boxes now.

Pressing Services > 4 System Setup > 5 System Details will give you the make of the box.

is the 9v enabled on the output socket of the digibox?

on the sky remote go to - Services,4,then 01 this brings up the installers menu.

you can enable the 9v for rf2 from here.

    That might fix it.:)

That has nothing to do with the device he is using.

I have the same set-up as yourself and it works perfectly. I've got the new style Thomson box. The remote control receptor on the box is about 1 inch to the left of the "SKY" blue logo on the box. The best place to put the video link remote control node is 1 inch in front of the box mid way between the SKY blue logo on the box and the the small white telephone indicator on the box. Then the note chain should be plugged into the back of the video sender. Just be aware that the little slot in the node is where the infra red signal comes out of so be sure the little slot is pointing towards the box or the signal will be sent in the wrong direction. Good luck with it, if you have any further questions then I'll do my best to help you out.

Thanks, I'll give that a try when I get home.
