    Here's what I remember about it(not much):
    It was on in the 80s.
    It was English
    There was kids living in some coastal town
    Baddies used to come walking out of the sea
    The sea basically seemed to be a portal for another world.

    Sounds like you might be referring to 'Under The Mountain'

    It was from New Zealand though... not England.

    Loved it as a kid.

    It's never been released on video or DVD.

    You can find the episodes up on googlevideo... I don't think it's aged all that well. Brilliant music though.

    Speaking of New Zeland kids shows - does anybody remember a programme that used to be on The Den towards the end of the schedule, It was set in New Zeland at the turn of the century (I think) there were Maoris etc.... set around hot springs/swamps etc.. I think it was on in the early 90s maybe middle 90s:o

    That would have been the 80s. I remember it but can't remember the name sadly.
