    Hi All

My Dad has an old Merc and there are bubles of rust on the roof. Its getting resprayed this week.

Could anyone recommend a rust treatment that works well at killing rust and preventing it comming back ?

Hi. I can recomend Metal Ready, which is available from www.frost.co.uk.
Once you get rid of most of the rust by sanding, then a couple of coats of this stuff kills rust and leaves a zinc phosphate coating etched into the metal.
I used this stuff on my manta last year and it's still a perfect finish, despite being used everyday. They also have a few other products that could be of use to you.
