    Hi All,

I have a xvid file on a DVD. I can play it fine from the DVD but I want to copy it to my HD. Anytime I try I get a cyclic redundancy error. Any ideas to overcome this. My player doesn't have a save option.

    Thanks,
    Kaz

How big is the file? I had the same error when I was trying to copy over an iso file from a dvd to my laptop the other day. I believe the file was around 4.2GB. I never manged to sort it though.

No, it is small, only about 350MB
    Still no solution here either

There is a tool, isotool or something, I'm afraid I can't remember the name of it, but it will ignore the read errors that windows will not.

I think the tool Khannie is thinking of is ISOBuster.
