Recently won something on ebay and didnt realise the seller didnt have paypal as method of payment..He had Nochex as method of payment.

Is the Nochex ok for paying? Never used or heard of it before.

I heard about it but never used it myself. It is listed under eBay's accepted payment types.
    Payment Services permitted on eBay: Allpay.net, Bidpay, cash2india, CertaPay, Checkfree.com, hyperwallet.com, Moneybookers.com, Nochex.com, Ozpay.biz, Paymate.com.au, Propay.com, XOOM

I think you need to have a UK issued credit card too so I don't know if you can set it up from an Irish address. I used to have an account years ago but it's been suspended now due to lack of use. Just had a look at what they wanted from me to re-activate it and it's ridiculous. They want original mortgage statement, utility bill, a blank cheque and a load of other things. I think they can keep the £3 I had in it.

    Hi,

As a former nochex user I would strongly advice you against using this company. I used them for a while and even recommended them to other people, but then hadn't used them for a certain period. When I tried to login again I couldn't said my account was inactive and had cleaned out the remaining balance. Afger querying this with them, they said that they are perfectly entitled to do this per their terms and conditions which permits them to deduct £5 a quarter for inactive accounts. SO be warned.

    Joe
