my car is dead

I've been looking at a few different cars in the last few weeks, planning on changing car over the next short while.

Then the other day the head gasket went on my car. Its was only worth about 2.5k as a trade but now I will need to spend 1k just to get it back on the road, to trade it.

Is there any way I can easily get rid of the stinkin think.... possibly getting a few quid back for it

Is anyone doing a scrappage deal?

    Thanks

There are plenty of garages (dealers) scrapping cars but you could get more back if you...

€1,000 sounds like a lot for a head gasket. What kind of a car is it? And what do you reckon it was worth €2,500 as a trade-in against?
