Ebay.ie - Conned

    I bought an item from an irish seller on ebay.ie. The seller was then banned by ebay and he never sent the item. I later found out that the seller lives 5 minutes from my house and thet he conned 16 people in total, most of them were Irish.
    Between us we found out his address and phone number and I contacted him. Now I am fairly confident that I will get my money back off him but I am not too sure about the others as they can't get in touch with him.
    My question is should the Gardai be involved in this as the total amount of money involved is between 2-3k or will they tell me where to go

    check with ebay if it was a hijacked account first?!

    No it wasn't hijacked as I talked to the seller on the phone to find out what was going on

    You won't know until you try the Guards. I suspect it will depend simply on which Guard you get.

    I'd call round to his house, with a crow-bar.

    Don't introduce yourself, don't ask for money, just smash everything in sight... it'll be worth the few quid you've lost out on :D
