Seriously.. i think a Wii Blazing Angles Boards.ie tournie should be officially announced now. Never played the game but apparently the version out on the PS3 was pretty average.

One of my favourite Xbox games was Crimson Skies, but I never actually played any of the single player game - I just played in the online dogfights constantly for a few months... it was superb and extremely enjoyable.

Fingers crossed Blazing Angels can re-create that online experience.

What reaction would you expect when the developer themselves confirm it?

By the way, that article you linked (and the one linked to it) are pretty unreliable in themselves - there's not even a quote or a copy and paste from the Ubisoft source, let alone anything more solid.
And while the Ubisoft website has taken away reference to Wii Online play on the Wii game page (was it there in the first place?), it's still there on the PS3 game page:
