A Continental Airlines aeroplane has been quarantined at Dublin Airport after a number of passengers became ill with a suspected case of food poisoning.

According to a spokesperson for Dublin Airport Authority, the scheduled flight from Newark landed in Dublin at around 8am.

25 passengers, who had all eaten in the same restaurant the night before, complained of being ill.

Twelve of them were suffering from severe vomiting and diarrhoea.

Imagine the smell! I wonder how many toilets the plane had. That must have been awful

At least it wouldn't be too embarrassing as everyone else had it too.

When asked about the incident one of the pilots laughed as said "We had fun turning the seatbeat sign on and off"

Lovely. I was on a flight from Chicago to Dublin last year and on 3 of the toilet doors they had those biohazard stickers on them, things must have been rough. :)

Ryanair Hostess: "Did you have Salmonella?"
    Passenger: "Yes"
Ryanair Hostess "That will be an extra €6.50"

As far as I can remember, the Continental plane that flies Dublin/NY has two toilets.

Jesus... I'd have been a bit ticked off if I was on it!

To rule out any prospect of the presence of an infectious disease. It's the law.
